.... it's nice to know you have thousands of messages of support for renewable energy behind you.
A huge congratulations again to the hundreds of volunteers from 72 local groups who gave up their Sat morning sleep-ins and Sunday arvos in the garden with kids to have thousands of conversations about renewable energy over the past few months.

On Wednesday ten of us from local community groups had a great day in Canberra presenting the results of the findings to Milne, Bandt and Oakeshott from the Climate Committee. Windsor was a late apologies and we ran into John Connor from the Climate Institute in the coffee shop who handed over the final report to Combet later that afternoon.
We had a not bad run in the media despite being pipped in the evening news by the steelworkers getting antsy and Tony 'No' Abbot spraying some steel pillar somewhere... But let's not pretend a report - even one documenting thousands of messages of support for renewable energy - will hold much sway in the halls of power (we've all been fooled by that one before!).
Next steps are underway with with another national day of action to share local results at MP offices next Friday 24 of June. That will be around a 'key' idea, continuing the theme 'we need to unlock clean energy'.
