Big Solar Boot Camp goes off like a cracker!

Well, this event sure went off! Over 120 renewable energy campaigners from across Australia gathered at beautiful Port Hacking in Sydney on Saturday Feb 11th and Sunday Feb 12th 2012.

As we'd hoped, it was a fantastic weekend of training, speakers and action and participants went away ready to get cracking on the big solar campaign in their own communities.

While we were there, people started their planning and recruiting for the launch of the big solar poll in their communities. Very exciting to watch everyone getting busy with their phones!

We had an awesome line up of speakers including Christine Milne, Terry Teoh from Pacific Hydro, Mark Ogge from Beyond Zero Emissions, Daniel Kiryacou from Every Australian Counts campaign, and Justin Field from Lock the Gate.

And, as promised there was swimming and a band to relax afterwards.

If you missed out, you can still get involved in Build Big Solar activities in your own community. Go to Take Action to find out how.

So many thanks to all the participants who helped make the weekend such a success!
